“ We came here on a weekday morning and there was a rush of people there getting their food before work. You order at the cashier and then they call your name when your coffee and/or breakfast sandwich is done. We ordered two bagels - one cheese bagel with cream cheese and then one bacon, avocado, and cream cheese on everything bagel. The bagels were very tasty and fresh. Only thing is, the everything bagel had a weird spice on it, and we think it's pumpernickel. We wanted egg sandwiches but because of the 20-minute wait for eggs, since everything is made to order, we did not order sandwiches with egg. They only have two stoves to cook the egg sandwiches, so it would be cool if they could increase their capacity since clearly this is a busy place. There is a bench outside but otherwise no seating. Maybe they put outdoor seating when it's not raining, but this place could use more seating. ”

“ Just moved to Santa Cruz from Illinois for work. Trying to get a feel for what local businesses have to offer. Saw a Starbucks and thought I was stuck until I traveled a little further down the way and found this gem over the weekend. I was unsure because the reviews said it was slow, but come to find out it is because they have a great menu of their own creations and do serve prepackaged, microwave heated food. They make everything to order. You can tell the owners make it a priority to use fresh, high quality ingredients. The portions are huge, taste great and it is 100% worth the wait. Which by the way wasn't very long. The baristas working also made it an absolutely phenomenal coffee house experience. The two girls were genuinely friendly and provided perfect recommendations for food and drinks based on my tastes. I wish I got their names. While I was waiting for my order they chatted with me about things to do in the area. It is hard these days to find people who care so much about providing excellent customer service, but these two hit the mark, truly knowing how to make a customer feel welcome. There is only outdoor seating and I can't wait to enjoy sitting out there with a good book when it warms up over the summer. I will definitely be a regular customer here. To sum it up; Great food, great coffee, great service with a smile!!! ”

They don't have indoor seating, they have a few covered seats, and then just outside, but it's spacious. The people are nice and seem accommodating. Love to support a local place ”

“ I'm so surprised that I haven't reviewed Firefly yet. This is the best bagel I have ever had and yes I have had them in New York. The jalapeño cheese are so addictive. I order them from DoorDash weekly. I have been there in person once. The sandwiches are at stacked with toppings and there is heavy cream cheese spread. I've also had a hazelnut latte here and it was made perfectly. There is limited seating. So I would recommend getting it to go or delivered. ”

Friendly service with a smile, the team explained their menu for me since it was my first visit. The have a few tables outside with nice decor. You get to sit and people watch. “ Cute place for brunch. A little pricey. There was a line out the door-- always a good sign. We got in line around 10:45am on a Saturday and got our food around 11:30. Don't recommend if you're in a rush. Cashier was super nice. Only 1 person in the kitchen and 1 working the bar which explained the wait. The hazelnut latte I ordered was great. Was nickel and dimed for whipped cream and the cup which was kinda annoying. Not from the area, so not sure this is customary. We both ordered "the works" breakfast burrito. It was tasty but very heavy. Don't think I'd order it again. ”
